Give the Gift of Radiance

Wilding Dry Brush

Dry brushing gently exfoliates the skin and assists in stimulating the circulatory system, leaving skin feeling buttery soft and supple. A daily brushing ritual helps reduce the appearance of rippled skin by bringing blood flow and qi to the area regularly.

Wilding Empress Gua Sha Stone:

Seriously couldn’t be more obsessed with this gua sha stone. The curved edge perfectly molds to the contours of the jawline. I have had a lot of gua sha stones and this one is by far my favorite.

The Empress is composed of Bian stone, an amalgamate of 40+ minerals known for their healing properties and known for their antioxidant and anti-aging effects on cells and DNA.

Pearl Powder:

Pearl powder contains signal proteins that can stimulate anti-aging activity, including skin, collagen, and other tissue repairs. You can add pearl powder to smoothies, coffee, and yogurt. It’s also a rich source of bioavailable minerals. Use code CKN10 for 15% off your first order.

Collagen:

When you eat collagen hydrolysate, the nutrients and amino acids are absorbed into the bloodstream and then redistributed throughout your body, especially to the dermis. Studies show that these amino acids and collagen peptides can stay in the dermis for up to 14 days, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Code CKN10 gets you 10% off.

organic-sheets-gifts

Give the Gift of Comfort:

Organic cotton down comforter:

I seriously can’t rave about this comforter enough. It is the best bedding purchase I’ve ever made. My husband has to listen to me talk about it almost every night when I get in bed and proclaim, “OMG, this comforter is the beeeessstttttt.”

I have the king size, all-season. Would buy this again and again.

Organic towels:

Who doesn’t love wrapping themself in a cozy organic towel after a hot shower (or cold for that cold thermogenesis)? These towels are organic and don’t have the toxic chemicals you’d usually find in other towels.

Organic cotton sheets:

We spend one-third of our life in bed! Conventional cotton is just as drenched in chemicals and pesticides as conventional food. While you can wash your sheets, it can take many washes for the chemicals to finally leave the cotton fibers. If you like sleeping in the buff, this means those pesticides are in contact with your skin for a long time! Swap out for organic sheets and your detox pathways will thank you!

Organic blanket:

Coyuchi has some amazing organic blankets that are light enough for summer weather, but warm enough to keep you cozy as the weather changes. My husband gave me the Honeycomb Organic Blanket for my birthday last year and I LOVE it! Get $60 toward your first $300+ Coyuchi purchase with this link.

Weighted blanket

Weighted blankets aren’t just incredibly comfortable, they can improve sleep and reduce feelings of anxiety and stress. These weighted blankets are made of organic cotton and are super cozy!

sleep-gift-ideas

Give the Gift of Better Sleep

Great sleep has SO MUCH to do with light exposure.

Our sleep-wake cycles are regulated by blue and green light. When we see blue light from the sun in the morning, it signals to our brain that its day time and to make us feel alert and awake. When the sun goes down, there is no more blue light, and this tells our brain it is night time and to prepare for sleep by releasing melatonin, a hormone that makes us feel sleepy.

Blue light from our devices (TVs, computers, LED lights, cell phones, etc) sends signals to the brain that make the brain think it is daytime. When the brain thinks it is daytime, it won’t secrete adequate amounts of melatonin and will think it is daytime so it should keep you awake and alert.

A study from Harvard University has shown that blue and green light exposure after dark disrupts our sleep and increases our risk of type-2 diabetes, depression, heart disease, anxiety, and cancer.

Blue light exposure to your eyes in only part of the problem. Blue light hitting your skin at night can disrupt your sleep and circadian rhythms. Skin has light receptors too.

Know someone on your holiday shopping list who could really benefit from better sleep? Check out the products below

Blublox

Blue blockers: I wear these at night: Brooklyn Sleep

Red light bulb The best zero flicker, low EMF and zero blue light bulb for evening use.

BluBlox Remedy Sleep Mask

Lumi Clip Light Great for reading at night without having to use a device or LED light.

Code CKN15 for 15% off all things BluBlox.

True Dark has some cute options for kids’ blue-blocking glasses. They also have some night lights so that your sleep and circadian rhythm aren’t further disrupted by blue light exposure if you or the kids wake up in the middle of the night.

Oura ring:

Yes, yes, there are lots of fitness trackers out there, BUT not any as sleek as the Oura ring. I have had one for several years and can’t say enough good things about it. One of the things Oura does best is sleep tracking. It has helped me identify patterns and behaviors over time that disrupt my sleep or lead me to get less REM or deep sleep (from eating too close to bedtime to being on devices too late at night). Get $50 off if you shop through this link.

clean-beauty-gifts

Give the Gift of Clean Beauty

Kossma Beauty

I couldn’t love this skincare line more. She takes clean beauty to a whole new level by making PUFA-free skincare products. Just like PUFAs (polyunsaturated fats) in your food oxidize when exposed to heat, light, and oxygen, PUFAs in your skincare do the same. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want oxidized oils all over my skin.

My favorite Kossma products are:

Tallow Beauty Balm:

A real game-changer for dry skin. This makes my skin so lush and glowy. I use it before bed while I gua sha.

Squalene Oil

I love squalene oil because it’s something our body produces naturally. This product feels like silk. I use it morning and evening after I wash my face as my primary moisturizer. Her squalene is sourced from bio-fermented sugarcane.

Purely Potent Active C Serum

Does your vitamin C serum start to turn yellow over time? That’s oxidation. This one won’t do that to you. Those serums are made with ascorbic acid, while this one is a highly stable gentle C esther in squalane oil that is able to penetrate deep into the dermis.

For all Kossma Products, you can use code CKN10 for 10% off your first order.

Beauty Care Naturals

I recently started using Beauty Care Naturals products on the recommendation of a friend. I am super impressed with the quality of the products and love that I’m supporting a woman-owned business. They are equally as passionate as I am about keeping toxic chemicals and endocrine disruptors out of beauty care products.

Use code Candacekennedybcn for 10% off BCN products.

My favorite products (so far) are:

Lip gloss – I use lip mimic and cannot say enough good things about the feel and the color.

Brow gel: Keeps your brows in place all day with just a hint of color.

Eyebrow pencil: I use light brown. I love how easy this pencil is to use!

Eye shadow palette: I am currently into Color 1.

Clean, Non-Toxic Deodorant

Primally Pure has really nailed the natural deodorant. A great stocking stuffer for the person who has been on-the-hunt for a natural, non-toxic deodorant that works. Their blue tansy deodorant is a dream.

Ilia Beauty

Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40

A super-light, non-toxic, tinted sunscreen that feels so light and silky on. I also love the Ilia mascara.

fitness-gift-ideas

Give the Gift of Joyful Movement:

Altra Sneakers

Altra shoes are designed to allow your feet to work the way they were designed to. They have a wide toe box so the toes can relax and spread out naturally while the big toe remains in a straight position for maximum stability and power. Their shoes are also “zero-drop” meaning the toe and the heel sit at the same height resulting in optimal alignment, cultivates better form, and encourages a low-impact landing. I currently have the Rivera and I made my sisters try them on and they each bought a pair since they are so comfortable.

Membership to Alo Moves

So many amazing yoga, pilates, and barre classes. I got really into their vinyasa and ashtanga classes over the last year or two. You can choose from longer classes to get a good sweat Get a 30-day free trial.

Single Harda Ayurvedic Yoga Mat

This beautiful mat is on my list this year. It’s made of 100% ethically sourced raw cotton that is medicinally dyed and infused with Bennd’s exclusive formula consisting of 22 different Ayurvedic medicines.

Yeti water bottle:

For a babe on the go to stay hydrated. These water bottles will keep their temperature for hours on end, whether you have a hot or cold beverage.

personal-growth-gift-idea

Give the Gift of Personal Growth:

Ego is the Enemy

Another great work by Ryan Holiday, who makes Stoicism approachable and applicable to modern-day life. This book details the most common enemy we all have is within us, our ego. ” With success, it [the ego] can blind us to our faults and sow future problems. In failure, it magnifies each blow and makes recovery more difficult. At every stage, ego holds us back.”

The Four Agreements

A book I read again and again as one can never hear the message enough. It will impact how you interact with others and how you think and respond in every encounter. We often assume that other people’s actions toward us are personal, when in fact, that couldn’t be farther from the truth.

Crazy Love

One of the most life-changing books I have ever read. A reminder that this life is not about “us” but about serving others and serving God. We are here for so much more than serving ourselves and our egos.

Membership to The Pathway, To Be Magnetic

Wow! Can’t say enough good things about The Pathway. I have now completed four of their courses and what a journey it has been. For anyone wanting to dive deep and heal past traumas, break the cycle of unproductive behaviors, and free themselves of self-destructive patterns, this membership is for you. The Inner Child workshop and Shadow workshops alone are transformational in a way I can’t even describe. All of their courses are backed by science and involve a deep subconscious reprogramming to release programming we received earlier in life regarding self-worth and identity. Although the courses can be deeply emotional and challenging at times, it’s so worth the “work” if you’re ready.

To Be Magnetic Journal

The companion journal to the Pathway membership, although you don’t need a membership to get a lot out of the journal. This is also on my wish list this year.

sustainable-gift-ideas

Give the Gift of Sustainable Style:

Mate the Label:

I actually live in this brand. They make organic tees and adorable joggers and sweat sets that are so incredibly comfortable. My favorites are the box tee and classic jogger.

Cozy organic flannel pajamas, sweats, underwear, and more. This brand has organic basics for everyone on your list: men, women, kids, and even babies! I love their flannel pajamas and shelf bra tank tops. Get 20% off when you shop with this link.

Alo Yoga:

My go-to brand for activewear. If she’s like me, she will always have yoga pants on her Christmas list. The Sherpa Varsity Jacket in Camel is also a great gift. But honestly, you can’t go wrong with this brand. They also have great yoga mats and accessories. Get 10% when you shop through this link.

Babaa sweaters:

Beautifully knit, wear-forever sweaters. A family-owned business making sweaters that are designed to last.

Raum shoes

Stylish, all-natural, zero-drop shoes that are conductive to the earth for grounding without being barefoot. I love the woman’s barefoot natural in camel.

Earthrunners:

Another favorite shoe company with a conductive sole for grounding with shoes on. These shoes are also great for a natural toe spread and to strengthen the muscles in your feet. Comfortable enough to wear walking, hiking, and running.

healthy-gift-ideas

Give the Gift of a Healthy Kitchen:

Stasher bags:

A great, sustainable replacement for plastic ziplock bags. Made from silicone, they are safe in the freezer and oven and won’t leach plastic chemicals into your food. I asked for some in my stocking last year.

Beeswrap:

A great replacement for saran wrap. You can reuse it multiple times and then it is compostable once it loses its stick.

Instant Pot:

I can’t do a gift guide without the life-changing magic of the Instant Pot. Make healthy meals in a fraction of the time with this wonderous pressure cooker.

Immersion blender

The easiest way to make a butter coffee or a delicious butternut squash soup, without having to dirty the blender.

Unpaper Towels:

Another item on my Christmas list this year. These are a great replacement for throw-away paper towels and I can’t wait to cut down on more waste in my house.

wellness-gift-ideas

Give the Gift of Vibrant Health:

Castor Oil Pack

If you read any of my posts on liver support or detoxing excess estrogen, they always include a castor oil pack. When castor oil is applied to the skin, and held there for an extended period of time (60 minutes to overnight), the castor oil can increase lymphocyte production and promotes the circulation of the lymphatic system.

This is a powerful way to support your body’s detox processes. Use code CKN10 for 10% off castor oil packs from Queen of the Thrones.

Shilajit:

Want to give that special someone the gift of more energy, enhanced cognitive performance, and less inflamation. Shilajit is where it’s at. Use code CKN15 for 15% off.

Jigsaw Adrenal cocktail:

Give your loved ones nourished adrenals with this healthy dose of potassium, sodium, and vitamin C, three nutrients your adrenals need for optimal function. Code CKN10 gets your 10% off.

Beef Liver:

Nature’s multi-vitamin! Ounce-for-ounce, beef liver is the most nutrient-dense food on the planet. I get it. Eating beef liver isn’t all that appetizing. Fortunately, Perfect Supplements makes an incredible beef liver capsule that gives you all the benefits of eating liver, without the “yuck” reaction that often comes along with it. Code CKN10 gets you 10% off.

EMF Protection:

When it comes to health, what you avoid is equally important as what you add, especially when it comes to reducing EMF exposure. Protect your loved ones from EMFs while they use electronics. My husband and I both use the heat shield daily. Since my husband works in sales and is on the phone all day, he uses the EMF-free airtube earbuds. The HeatShield is perfect for those who frequently use their laptops on their lap and need a layer of protection.

healthy-living-gift-ideas

Give the Gift of a Healthy Home:

House plants:

Plants make people happy. Plants are one of my favorite gifts to give. I love getting photo updates from friends as their plants grow! Bloomscape has a whole division of plants with air-filtering properties. A snake plant is a very easy starter plant for the new plant parent. Get 20% off your first order when you shop through this link.

Saje essential oil diffusers

This was on my list last year and I just love the simple, beautiful design of it. The design of my other diffusers don’t really align with the style of my house but this one is so chic and modern, it just blends right in.

Crystals:

Bring some good vibes into your home with these beautiful crystals. Etsy has a wide variety of crystals for whatever energy you’re trying to bring more into your life.

Himalayan salt lamp:

My mom gave me one for Christmas a few years ago and I love it! It gives such a nice warm glow, providing a calming and relaxation atmosphere.

Branch Basics:

One of the easiest things you can do to improve health is to cut out the toxic chemicals used in your home. Did you know that the inside of our houses can be up to 500x more polluted than the outside due to the vapors from chemical cleaning products (this includes everything from Tide laundry detergent to Dawn dish soap and Windex, just to call out a couple.) and vapors from volatile organic compounds. Branch Basics makes an incredible cleaning line without any chemicals or toxins, perfectly safe and effective for all surfaces of your home. Get $10 off when you shop through this link

Candles with crystals

Okay, these are just really beautiful. These candles are clean-burning, made with simple, non-toxic ingredients and essential oils and when they are done burning, you are left with beautiful crystals. (Full disclosure, my husband actually discovered these and loves burning them in his office, which I think is just adorable.)

Lion’s mane mushroom grow kit

Lion’s Mane is magical! Is has both culinary and medicinal uses and has been used for centuries for its health benefits. I use lion’s mane regularly for a boost in cognitive performance and focus. But it’s also been shown to reduce symptoms of memory loss in mice and can help reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. You can buy it powdered or in tincture form, but how cool is it to grow your own?!
