Love broccoli as much as I do? Then this recipe is for you. Not so sure about this nutrient-dense cruciferous vegetable? This steamed broccoli recipe just might turn you into a believer!

Recently at the dinner table, my meat-and-potato-loving husband took a bite of broccoli and said, “this might be the best broccoli I’ve ever had. It’s the perfect texture and has so much flavor.” I know what you’re thinking — don’t trust a man who doesn’t like avocado (that’s right, the man doesn’t like avocado!). This is the reaction you can expect with you prepare this quick and easy dish. My tiny nieces and nephews even like it! It’s a little savory, a little spicy, and a little sweet. What more could you ask for?

This broccoli goes great as a side to any lunch or dinner. I have served it with Green Curry Chicken and Lemon and Herb Pan-Seared Chicken Thighs.

Try it out and let me know what you think!

Here’s what you need:

Here’s what you do:

  1. Steam broccoli for 8 minutes*.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt ghee and the rest of the ingredients over medium heat. Once the broccoli is finished steaming, add it to the saucepan and give it all a good mix until the broccoli is evenly coated.

*I use a steam insert in a large pot with about 1 inch of water in the bottom. I bring the water to a boil, add the broccoli on top of the insert, cover and cook for 8 minutes. You could also do this in a fancy steamer, if that’s more your style. I like the insert because it’s plastic-free cooking.
